After undergoing training at Boeing’s facility in Seattle, Q1 Aviation is now proudly capable of Boeing 787 Damage and Repair Non-Destructive Inspection (Composite NDT Inspection). This training prepares Q1 Aviation to inspect damages and repairs on Boeing 787 solid laminate composite structure using the ultrasonic pulse echo and phased array.
Correspondingly, the courses in this training includes the inspection of 787 composite damage using the Olympus Omni Scan MX, MX2, & SX ultrasonic inspection tool, inspection of 787 bonded composite repairs using the ultrasonic inspection tool, inspecting damages using the ramp damage checker, identifying the types of applications of composite materials on the 787, and identifying the 787 bonded composite repair acceptance criteria.
